“打出去”的最初参与者是一群居住在中国大陆的击剑孩子的家长。他们受过良好的教育，外语流利，他们中很多人是500强和上市企业的高管，具备国际视野。他们不仅愿意带孩子走出国门参加击剑比赛或训练，更乐于在社群中分享经验与心得。

GameIsOn is a fencing community organized by a group of fencing parents for their young fencers resided in Mainland China. The well-educated and multilingual parents contribute their diverse skills, management experience and international visions into this community organization. Both the parents and young fencers in this group are excited to attend tournament and training camps overseas. Mostly appreciated, they are also open to share the experience with a wider fencing community in Greater China.  

2017年起，“打出去”的成员与世界各地具有独特优势的教练、机构合作展开系列“全球青少年击剑训练赛”。每次训练赛都有明确的训练目的，也有家长的深度参与，帮助孩子通过击剑成为一个更完整的人。

Since 2017, GameIsOn community has established partnerships with the well-known fencing coaches and organizations to host the Global Youth Fencing Training Match Series around world.  Clear and specific training objective is set every time to improve the efficiency. The parent groups contributed and participated in the training match planning. The young fencers are encouraged to improve not only the fencing skills but also the other important soft skills, to make it a wholesome education experience for them.

击剑对青少年成长的意义，是打出去一直致力探讨的课题。美国击剑运动近十年来在青少年人群中呈现出高水平发展，成为世界各地击剑家庭的重要参考来源。鉴于此，我们邀请打出去美村资深家长林爸将他对美国击剑学生运动员毕业后发展去向的观察整理在下文中，希望为有志于培养学生运动员的家庭带来一些启示。

The impact of fencing on the growth of young people is one of our top concerns in GameIsOn. In the past decade, fencing in the US has developed at a high level among young people, making it an important reference source for fencing families around the world. In this regard, we invited Ryan Lin, a senior fencing parent of GameIsOn in the US, to share his observations on the career development of fencing student-athletes in the US in the following article to shed some light for more families.
